Recent Press Release:
NASHVILLE, Tenn.—Christian music’s premier Big Band, Denver & The Mile High Orchestra, returns August 16 with Groovy, their first project for children. The band’s gfk Records debut, Groovy was produced by Denver Bierman and Go Fish’s Jamie Statema, along with Darren Rust.

Delivering Denver & The Mile High Orchestra’s signature high-energy horns and crooning vocals, the 10-song set includes the Gaither classic “I Am A Promise,” the Bob Dylan-penned “Man Gave Names To All The Animals” (featuring Go Fish), “Sunday School Swing,” “Groovy ABCs,” and such original selections as “All Of My Heart” and “Brand New Day,” among others.

“I’ve wanted to make a children’s record for years now,” said Denver Bierman, Denver & The Mile High Orchestra founder and bandleader. “Having children of my own has helped me create a style and sound of kids music that is fun, but with a clear message of the love of Jesus Christ. It’s my hope and prayer that Groovy will bring families together and give them high quality, uplifting and encouraging entertainment for all ages to enjoy.”

“We formed gfk Records following the release of our first kids project, Splash, in 2003, and immediately started looking for other bands who could join us in our mission of making ‘great music for kids that won’t drive parents bonkers,’” said Go Fish’s Jamie Statema. “It took seven years of searching before we had our first meeting with Denver, and it didn’t take long before I felt quite strongly that we had found our first legitimate band to sign.”

In addition to signing with gfk Records, Denver & The Mile High Orchestra is now exclusively managed by Michael Smith & Associates (Go Fish, Yancy) and booked by the Behind The Voice Agency (Brad Stine, Go Fish).

Denver & The Mile High Orchestra has performed extensively around the world, including at events in conjunction with two Olympic Games. In 2007, the group was a finalist on the FOX TV series “The Next Great American Band.” Formed by Denver Bierman at Nashville’s Belmont University in 1999, Denver & The Mile High Orchestra’s previous recordings include Good To Go, Timeless Christmas, Stand, and the band’s 2000 debut, Act The Scat.

"Beautiful Ashes" is currently holding at #22 on the National Rock Christian Weekly Radio Chart! In her own words, Éowyn describes the meaning behind "Beautiful Ashes". "The purpose behind this album is to encourage others that God is a restorer of hope, and that He is a restorer of dreams. That no matter what devastation has happened in their life and no matter how bad their circumstances seem around them, God wants to bring their situation back to life that it may become beautiful once again.”

Beautiful Ashes is filled with an industrial blend of electronics, strings, and pounding guitars that range from heart felt ballads to explosive anthems. Both lyrically insightful and vocally stunning this is Éowyn’s best album to date. Musically it captures a broader audience then past albums, as it has key components that both industrial, rock, pop, and worship fans can appreciate. Produced by Travis Wyrick (P.O.D, Disciple, Pillar) at Lakeside Studios, it includes 10 brand new songs that emotionally grab you from beginning to end.

In her own words, Éowyn describes the meaning behind “Beautiful Ashes”. “The purpose behind this album is to encourage others that God is a restorer of hope, and that He is a restorer of dreams. That no matter what devastation has happened in their life and no matter how bad their circumstances seem around them, God wants to bring their situation back to life that it may become beautiful once again.”

About Éowyn:
Éowyn is a Nashville recording artist with a rock sound and a theatrical stage presence that will leave you utterly captivated with emotional intrigue. Many people find it hard to pinpoint musical comparisons as her style is as unique as her name. She has had four top 20 National Christian Rock singles and has toured extensively throughout the U.S sharing the stage with various acts from Thousand Foot Krutch, Seventh Day Slumber, Disciple, and more. Those who see her can’t get enough, those who hear her are left wanting more, but those who get to know her see a genuine person with a genuine concern for their needs.

In her previous 2008 album, “Silent Screams,” the focus was on encouraging those who have been ensnared by depression, anger, loneliness or insecurities to cry out for help from Jesus Christ and from others. Subject to depression bouts herself, Éowyn’s heart poured from this album often times sounding like she was on the verge of tears. As Éowyn explains, “It breaks my heart to see people hurting. I can’t help but cry, because I understand what they’re going through, and I truly know how they can be whole again.”

Éowyn is no stranger to feelings of hopelessness and doubt. In 2008 she was forced to announce her departure to the industry due to financial difficulties and was forced to sell everything that had to do with her musical career. Éowyn said, “I was devastated and to be perfectly honest, didn’t know what to do or think. I questioned why God would allow this in my life, I felt as if everything that God had built up over the years has been reduced to rubble and ruins. But over the next 2 years, God began to rebuild my faith and slowly my hope returned as I turned all that I had over to Him. He began to show me the beauty that still lingered amidst the ashes.”

Check out Éowyn’s brand new music video!

Now in 2011, with what Éowyn describes as “only by God’s grace” she is back. Éowyn states, “I think people will see a new artist with this album. I feel being out of the industry for two years really brought me back to the true meaning of why I do what I do. This album still showcases my love of industrial flair and hard hitting guitars, but is stylistically not as dark as “Silent Screams”. I wanted the songs from “Beautiful Ashes” to pull the listener in, and leave them with a strong sense of hope and encouragement.

Coming May 3, 2011! Why would any self-respecting rock band title their CD "Soundproof"? Doesn't "soundproof" seem to suggest that other people won't be able to hear you? Well, yes - and no.

$9.99 UPC 651968001921 Street Date: May 3, 2011

18 Great Tracks!

ApologetiX describes this, their 18th CD project like this…

Why would any self-respecting rock band title their CD “Soundproof”? Doesn’t “soundproof” seem to suggest that other people won’t be able to hear you? Well, yes – and no.

ApologetiX is all about giving scripturally (and logically) sound proof for why we believe what we believe. As 1 Peter 3:15 says:

“But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.”

Of course, no matter how gentle and respectful our answers are, or how scripturally and logically sound our proof is, there are many people who still won’t hear any of it.

Those people choose to put God – and Christians who try to share His Word – in a soundproof box. Since they’d prefer that we keep quiet, we recorded this CD with acoustic guitars and a grand piano (along with bass and drums) to make it a little quieter.

But our sentiments toward them are summed up in the title and lyrics to one of the tracks on this CD, “Wish You Could Hear.”

The Boys Aren’t Backin’ Down is ApologetiX’ 17th CD in 17 years. You might think the title pertains to ApologetiX, but the “boys” in question are actually another group whose name starts with the same three letters, the Apostles. This CD celebrates the spirit those Apostles displayed and the courage they had to preach the Gospel to an unfriendly world less than two months after they all ran and hid while their Master was crucified. The songs on this CD were recorded live in concert. Unlike traditional live albums, though, the majority of the songs have never appeared on an ApologetiX CD. The few that have made previous appearances are from their earliest CDs, and they have been given new, improved lyrics. 18 great tracks!

Éowyn is a Nashville recording artist with an industrial rock sound and a theatrical stage presence that will leave you utterly captivated with emotional intrigue. Many people find it hard to pinpoint musical comparisons as her style is as unique as her name. Those who see her can’t get enough, those who hear her are left wanting more, but those who get to know her see a genuine person with a genuine concern for their needs. Her heart’s cry is to touch the lives of youth around the globe as their silent screams for life’s meaning, personal significance and hopelessness largely go unanswered.

In her latest album, “Silent Screams”, the focus is on encouraging those who are ensnared by depression, anger, loneliness or insecurities to cry out for help from Jesus Christ.

“Silent Screams” was produced by Travis Wyrick (P.O.D., Pillar, Disciple). With a style that is filled with industrial rock sound, inspiring vocal imaging, and a powerful, dramatic presence, this album is set to make a dominant stand in the marketplace.

Éowyn’s honest writing style and hypnotic voice were enhanced by the addition of Pillar members who were involved in the writing process, as well as, playing on the album. Rob Beckley of Pillar contributes additional intrigue with his mesmerizing vocals on the title track, “Silent Screams”.

Éowyn has had extensive touring experience playing in numerous small and large venues including: festivals, youth gatherings and arenas. She has shared the stage with some of the biggest artists in the Christian industry including: Seventh Day Slumber, Pillar, Krystal Meyers, and Skillet.
